UF's Eligibility Criteria for Registering
as a UF Small Business
For purposes of the UF Small Business Procurement Program and related incentives:
A small (non-construction) business is defined, for all industries except Construction, as a business , having been in existence for a period of at least six months or more, having 25 or fewer employees and less than $1,000, 000 in revenues.
A small (construction) business, is defined as a business in the construction industry having been in existence for a period of at least six months or more, and based upon the categories below having equal to or less than the specified number of employees and sales/revenue annually:
- Small Business - Construction Management/General Contractor – Construction Management Companies and General Contractors to be classified as a small business must meet the above criteria and have 15 or fewer employees and less than $5,000,000 in sales/revenues.
- Small Business – Trade/Subcontractor - to be considered a small business the subcontractor must meet the criteria for a small (construction) business and have 10 or fewer employees and less than $2,000,000 in sales/revenues annually.
- Micro Enterprise - 5 or fewer employees and $300,000 or less in sales/revenues annually.
